a little beach house on the Coast...beach eye-candy from the weekend...

so-gooodmorning from the beaches of Oz...

i have a house full of short people here this morning...lovely cousins, bestie friends...kids in tents...mattresses on floors...

a weekend that we love even more since being away in the English countryside...

i haven't had a moment to sit & create or think or write...but i love seeing them all mooching around here together...

we've been home an entire school term now...though at times it feels like we got off the plane yesterday...

as i watch our kids thriving here on the gorgeous beaches...in all this sunshine- i think of Autumns back in England...in the countryside...

i feel so blessed to have had both- the countryside & the coast...on both sides of the globe...

i'm still unpacking boxes here- has anyone else moved across the world & taken their time with their unpacking- pleeease let me know...i need some support for my *time out*...

each box brings such warmth & wonderful memories- especially as the months are rolling on *Down* here on the beaches...

we're filling our little beach house with our collected, chippy, old wares from the other side of the globe- as we settle into our life here again...

i'm loving mixing the two- the European & the Australian...the country & the coast...

we're still balancing it all- the move, the unpacking, the sorting, the changes we're wanting to make in our little *spot* on the beaches...

it's been wonderful to record it all...to take the time to share it all with the kids again & again, as another box is unpacked & lugged up the stairs...

it's made for erratic blogging at times...
& i love you for returning to share my days...
my thoughts...
& my photos of life here in our little beach house on the Australian coast after our four years in the beautiful English countryside...

this week is about kids home for holidays

days of nothing & everything
&
squashing in a little *us* time

you & me here together

a leetle french gardening on the beaches...

g'day from Down Under sweet bloggy gals...with a leetle french garden twist...!

my day of ignoring cardboard boxes has been just what i needed...

hanging out with the kiddos- getting them a little more organised with school...& bedrooms...&

enjoying nothing time back in our little beach house was just what we all needed...

so...last night, after no unpacking & lugging for the day, i had a little play around with some

of the bits i had re-discovered on Monday...

{when my *blessed* mother had come & thrown her *motherly* authority around, and

made me lunch & helped me pack my kitchen into cupboards...}

i am really in need of the fun part now...but the boxes are still there...

even with half of them gone it looks a little to much to be dealing with on a gorgeous *end-of-summer*

day on the beaches...so i'm playing for a while instead...

back balcony & front balcony...

our little beach house has two balcony's-which means the breeze is always on one or the other in

summer, & it's always calm & outa the wind on one or the other in winter...

this was one of the reasons the hubster fell in love with it, when searching for our bit of beach life when

we added the third little bambino to our family...

he pretty much sits out on the front balcony every evening, glass of wine in hand, just looking out at the

beautiful trees that surround our house...enjoying the breeze...

a natural breeze beats a fan burring in the background hands down...as does the feeling of space a

balcony brings to both sides of the house...

so i'm spending a little of my day playing on the front balcony with french bits...

chippy chairs...old tin pailings...herbs...a passionfruit vine...a pot of tea...sunshine...

we have a little *hidden away* garden nursery not far from us, that i'll be visiting for a few pots

of lavender this week...

i'm thinking, as this front balcony gets so much gorgeous morning sun- that herbs & lavender are perfect

to plonk in french pots dragged back from old brocantes during a french *road trip* we loved with the

kiddos...

what d'ya think?

dented tin french buckets, chippy chairs & a leetle bit of french inspired gardening...

many of you sent me lovely emails & comments about the *lushness* of our garden...

& in fact, many of you were surprised at just how green & tropical it is...& yes, for those that asked...i'd

love to do a tour of our garden very soon...

in comparison to our back garden, thick & lush, our front is drier in area's & perfect for herbs & lavender

so i'm going to enjoy the differences...

we're also planning to take out the lovely old playhouse timber cubby house that has seen better days in

the back corner of the garden to put in a wonderful big vege garden- inspired by my B.B's wonderful

garden back in our English village...

i'll be keeping you posted & asking for much advice along the way...

bloggy galfriends that also garden get ready for my...i'm gonna be on a steep learning curve!

happy potting at yours

gardening with chippy chairs is my kinda thing!

see ya tomorrow with my next box of goodies...

memories of france in the Great Unpack in our little beach house...

morning from the beaches gals- where it is *bucketing* down...

truly we're swimming to school this morning!

this ain't the *end of summer* weather we moved the kiddos 12,000 miles across the world for i can tell

you!

but...my wellies {gum boots} are in a box somewhere in this little beach house...& i'm going to find

them & continue smiling about being home Down Under...!

so...

rather than tempt you with glorious photos of rain on the beaches show you how deep the

water is rising...i thought you'd like to see the photos of yesterday's unpack in the sunshine...

this is where i'm at with the kitchen boxes...or rather where i'm not...

i'm not in cupboards...not in the kitchen...& not finished...but it's all making me smile...

our stuff from the other side of the globe at last in my little beach house...near the kitchen!

as i'm unpacking, i'm re-living so many of the moments we shared abroad...

memories of countries throughout Europe we visited...

memories of *table top* sales in old country village halls...

memories of trawling for a treasure with the B.B {British Bestie}...

this is perhaps why this haul is not in the kitchen cupboards...i blame it on the wonderfully endless

memories...& i feel blessed to have each & every one....

here's a shot of the sorting table outdoor table...it's errr...a whole lot fuller slightly fuller than this

now- after another half dozen boxes or so...

the reason i didn't get to actually putting away these goodies into cupboards is due to this enamel

ware...

like many of you that visit me here, i too adore enamel ware...and most of this stash was lugged home to

our big old house in the countryside from holidays in the French countryside....

memories of amazing brocantes throughout the north of France took up alot of my thinking time over

pots of tea yesterday...

but i'm loving this process- the unpacking & the memories...i'm sure it stops me feeling

overwhelmed by the enormous task ahead...

{there are crazy amounts of boxes in the garage- which then goes through to rooms the length of this

little beach house.. i should photograph that...just in case i go down there & you never here from me

again- at least you'll know why!}

so today...feeling a little like Noah may have on his ark...

i'm slowly filling cupboards & looking after a poorly HS girl at home...

slow & steady wins the race is my mantra at the moment...

hope your safe from the *flooding* hitting the East Coast of Oz, if you're on my side of the world

if you're else where - i hope your weather is shining on you as it should!

see ya tomorrow for a few couch shots if i can get the HS gal back to school...

virtual coffee & vintage french english goodies on the beaches...

some moments that brought BIG smiles in my unpacking....

it's *virtual coffee* time gals...grab your mug & have a lookie...

i ain't putting drinks on today- if you saw the amount of boxes i need to get through- you'd

probably offer to pick me up one when you grab one for yourself...

our life from the English countryside is now happily settling itself on the beautiful beaches of Oz...

our little house by the ocean is getting a very loved dose of country, both french & English

to it...

this mama is in heaven...*cardboard & too many pots of tea heaven*...

& i just want to thank you all for constantly dropping past- & sending me lovely

comments & emails, connecting up with me on {instagram} & for just being here, throughout

this massive 12,000 mile move we've made...

{countryside to the beaches...}

here's where i see you all from at the moment...

surrounded by kids craft supply's & god know's what else...it'll come together in time...

for now it's just about *getting it all out*
&
back into our days on the coast...

~~~~~~
posts are going to be short but pretty this week gals
keep the comments coming- it keeps me unpacking
i loooove you for it
if you see anything you like...let me know
a truck of vintage, loved goodies arrives at our beach house...
moooorning...over here...yep the gal behind the boxes...whooo hoooo!
they arrived...it didn't rain for the whole day...
& we are now living like travelling gypsies from boxes Parisian artists in a studio of collected
inspiration...
the kiddos didn't buy the last one either...they just wanted to know where their *stuff* was!
see...it kinda looks french lofty...if you close one eye & are eating baguette...!
so...the great unpack begins....
this was the spread sheet we did all the *box ticking* from...
those are not individual items there- but individual boxes...gals we are seriously living in a house of
cardboard....but there are many treasures within...
so many of you have taken this journey with me from our gorgeous house in the English countryside to
this, our little beach house on the beautiful coast of Oz...
& can i just say *i'm so happy we got here together*...
the Great Last unpack begins...with you by my side...
i can promise mucho eye-candy!
if you're lurking near the beaches on this rainy old
summer's day with a spare coffee in your hand...
feel free to drop it into a removalist/decorating/balancing
mamma who is head down butt up unpacking her treasures!
~~~~

I'll be posting this all next week gals- so pop in anytime for

a quick *g'day* & a reminder that there is a clean house after

a 12,000 mile move with three kiddos somewhere down the line!

P.S- a little side note-

whilst i generally like my deliveries to be stamped *amazon*, *the book depository* or

*anthropologie*...& usually in brown paper & string...

i have to say that this big orange beast of a truck was the *prettiest, most perfect* delivery

i've had in a long time....!
