...we love a train to london...

...i know one thing i will never ever get used to about living here...

...that we can be in paris, venice or rome in time for breakfast...door to door!...

...or that we can be in greece or london in time for lunch...

...i'm glad that we never take this for granted...
... because, when we one day return to our beach house home in sydney...
... we will not get *anywhere* by breakfast, except the beach...& maybe *somewhere* by lunch...

...because of this...
...as a family, we are what i would call seriously good travellers...
...we make the most of where we are, as we know we won't have this luxury forever...

...so *this weekends* adventure was back to london...
...the kids loooove london...

...we both love london...

...& we got there in time for lunch...

...as a child, how totally crazy & perfect is it to catch a train into euston station...
...the *very* station that you managed to buy out from under your brother at last nights monopoly game!...

...ok so maybe i'm just a little bit excited about that too...
...i like to get all the stations on my portfolio...

...living in a what us aussies would call a *country town*...
... i truely love seeing our kids jump into a big city life...

...3 days of yum cha /dim sum moments, of museum moments... and *pavement pounding* down oxford street...of tube stations and park football...

...& we stay...& play with such special...truely special  friends that live in london...

...& in our hearts...we know that this side of the world has been good for us all...

...as their mother i love to see them exploring the world...

...& as a parent i love that we do it as a family...

  1. Great photos, sounds like you had a busy time!

Travel is a wonderful thing - and yes, we are so lucky being so near Europe, these days you can take the train or a get flight, it is so easy.

What amazing memories you are creating for your children :)

  3. Melissa...could we trade homes for a bit? I live on the beach in New England but pine for Old England! Oh to hop on that train to Paris or Venice! I love my beach but could use a bit of European culture!! So happy you had fun and are out exploring with the kiddos!!

  5. What a great experience for your kids, it will make them so street smart and well traveled, and they are not even adults yet!

  6. Hmn. Right with you on those sorts of things to love about living where you do. Once I went to a Christmas (London-based) work lunch in Paris. Croissants on the train for morning tea, snails and fine wine for lunch, a quick squizz at the Eiffel Tower, meander through the streets and back home in time to listen to The Archers!

  7. How lovely to have adventures in LONDON. Perhaps someday I can share such sites with my kiddos.

  8. My parents went to London this weekend and happened to get on the wrong carriage on the train home and sat down next to Gordon Brown - before being escorted to the correct carriage!

I miss public transportation so much!

  9. I love your blog name-so cute! I really enjoyed this post and got me thinking about the future to when we finally have children.

My husband and I love to travel and it was so great to see how well you all do it together. :)

Thanks for stopping by, following me and for your sweet words. I think that your chalkboard idea is a fabulous one!

I have always told my hubby that I think raising girls would be a tough but rewarding job. One of my reasons for wanting girls so badly is to raise them up to be confident, polite and tenacious women. Something that many girls seem to lack in today's society.

You are setting a wonderful example. :)

    Hugs,
    Karla

  11. I have been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web owners and
bloggers made good content as you did, the web will
be much more useful than ever before.
