friday pretties in autumn hues...

afternoon all from the english countryside...

although my heart & soul are both still firmly trying to stay in summer mode...
i feel the seasons are changing...

the air is beautifully blustery...
&
my boots are begging me from the corner...

my favourite & best autumn moments forever revolve around it's colours...

browns...

so perfectly lovely with blues...

gardens of fallen leaves to play in...

richly coloured pumpkins to choose...

autumnal colours in school artworks...

for now though...
i will hold onto our summer for a little longer...

i will keep loving the sun kissed *little faces* i brought back from Greece only a week ago...

i will find time for autumn in a little while...a little later...

for today...i will just start to think about the colours...

wherever you are
enjoy your change of season

&

find yourself some...*friday pretties*...

  2. Beautiful pictures, as always! I so wish I were in the UK right now. I love Autumn at home. Love the damp smell in the air, love the cobwebs everywhere, love the smell of bonfires, love the fact that sausages are once again served with mash and not on the b-bq... but most of all I love the fact that hot tea or a glass of red goes with the season perfectly! Try and find the Bottle Green spiced berry cordial. Served hot, you can smell the cloves... perfect for sipping in front of the fire on a yucky day! Lx

  5. Ah, I'm chuckling as I look down at my winter boots whilst knowing the daffies are out and the cherry blossom is blooming! We are Spring-bound now, just as you slide into Autumn. The pumpkins have me intrigued. Are they popular over there? I only ask as when I lived in Germany, they were mainly used to feed pigs! I hope you're enjoying your Saturday, Lovely.J x

  6. Of course here in Oz we are greeting the blue skies and warmer days. Today (in Perth) the sky is a truly amazing shade of Aquamarine. My Autumn wreath- full of the colours you are getting ready to greet - has made it's way outside - soon to disintegrate in the heat of Summer (made from Plane Tree leaves +love) Well I think I know what to do...I'll send you a bottle or two of Ozzie warmth! :-)

  7. I love autumn too especially the colours. Yesterday I was collecting conkers and acorns to photograph. Lovely photos, I found the pumpkin ones on Pinterest last week, so glad to see more of them. I've grown a fair few on my plot so we are going to do lots of creative things with them as well as eat them. Nom, nom!
