...i seem to have surrounded myself with strong women all born within 2 months of one another...
...it's my mum's birthday today...a special birthday...spent with all her other family & friends in the sunshine of our other home...australia...& she was blessed with a very enthusiastic, slightly chaotic version of happy birthday over the phone from here...
...my closest gal friends, & my mum-in-law are all within a stone's throw of each other...
...& my two gals are turning 12 & 5 in the next month...
...so party gear is the order of the day...& the fabric is pilling up on my sewing table...
...i have started my spring & summer sewing...ready for another pimms on the grass 'showing' here with some girlfriends & also a couple of the local summer fairs that are starting to be booked...& orders that seem to be flowing through now 'the birds are a'singing & the flowers are a'bloomin...'
...i have made some gorgeous little a-line frocks...& the design caught our little lady of 4 and 4/5 eye...
...she chose the most beautiful 1950's fabric on ebay...& i had a lovely morning sewing her something that she had helped create...
...for her there is nothing more lovely than flowers the colour of a tiger...
...her 'absolute favourite & her best pet in the world'...
...& i love her for that...
...vintage lace & roses for a little lady turning 5...
...wouldn't you like to see a happy face in this running around the garden?...
...i have spent the afternoon sewing & cutting...
...there are more frocks, tops & bags on the table...
...more roses & flowers in bloom...pinks & greens...
...i'll show you when they are ready...
Golly...you are just so clever and crafty..I makes me want to take up a sewing course...just so I can whip up little beauties like this..well done honey..its gorgeous..and makes me clucky for a girl ..lol x
