....& this week i went with my big gal & my british bestie...three girls, pennies in pockets, aiming high...
...i was on the hunt for maps, one can never really have enough...
...don't you agree??
...our house is covered in world maps- big & small...globes...& atlas'...
...our kids love sunday night challenge...& any one that has been over for dinner & a glass of wine can have a giggle at this...
...sunday night challenge is purely first in best dressed as the kids are challenged to 'where's madagascar?'...
'ok then...where's istanbul?'...& 'whats the capital of oman?'...
...i tell you a map the size of a wall hanging over the dinning table is almost the best education, outside of travel, a kid can have...i totally recommend it...
...so, back to booting...& look what i found....the most wonderful old atlas textbook...
...big thankyous to you v.dymott of avondale...i love your atlas...
...i have special plans using this book of maps...
...i'll show you soon...
...i also found these two london underground maps, one from 1938 & a brilliant one from the 50's which have got me thinking as well...
...so us three gals had a great morning in our wellies, climbing through fences into paddocks & lugging finds back to the car...
...i have to say that the big gal & the bestie were definately naturals...
...they were both happy, muddy chickens with their 'stash'...
...smiling through the countryside journey home, in the full-to-the-rafters ol' people mover...
