*a friday flower* & chippy chairs on a saturday morning...

*a friday flower...* on a gorgeous sunny autumn saturday morning...
i was obviously going to post my friday flower yesterday...but somehow the whole magic of a pot of tea with my british bestie & making a curry & getting all ready to go to the local farm for *bon fire* night got the better of me...
you know *real life* stuff....
the stuff your days are made up of when you're not blogging...

i am a huge fan of *chippy*....as you know...the chippier the better...
i have a very *favourite & best* white chippy chair that i found very early on in our adventures over here in the english countryside...
the poor thing gets dragged "round this big old house...
from room to room with me...
depending on what i'm doing...how i'm feeling...& how many people are 'round the table for curry..

can you imagine when i found a *mini-me* chippy chair for my gorgeous little audrey in the village...
this will be up-cycled as one of her christmas presents...
a little *a* stenciled on it's back...a cushion & little patchwork blanket made for it...
then we can drag our chippy chairs move them 'round the house together all christmas day...
my folks will be with us from sydney...
they are the root cause of my love with all things chippy & up-cycled...
so they will encourage the dragging of chairs 'round the christmas tree...

these little moments of real life...real memories...that we share on our blogs...
you know *real life* stuff...

this saturday morning...
i would like to send my virtual *friday flower* to an amazingly dedicated blogger...
a loving mother of three little kiddos under four...
did you hear that...? three under four...!
a lawyer by profession...all her energies now spent on her family, her blog & her life...
not always in that order...!

jane from *life on planet baby*...
is going through a bit of a bloggy addiction that you should pop over & give her your thoughts on...
she'd love to meet you all...

i'm off to watch our lovely sportsmad son *captain* the local football team to {hopefully} a great win...
& then taking the girls up to the village for a little saturday morning coffee & a wander...
followed by a vino with the *british bestie* who is having a GORGEOUS vintage farm table & chairs delivered this afternoon...
i don't know who's more excited her or me!!

have a wonderful weekend all...
thanks for your thoughts on bunting!
i'll pop all your comments this week in the christmas stocking...
& let you know who can create their own bunting with me next week....
xox

if you'd like to send a *virtual flower* link up below
&
then go see my gorgeous english galfriend living state side
the lovely laura from *a place for tea*
&
link up with her too

  2. Beautiful roses. When I lived in England I had a beautiful Lloyd Loom chair similar to the one you have in your picture (only it had a sprung base covered in the most divine fabric)... it once lived in my Grandads greenhouse and then it came to live with me... moved around various flats and houses and painted so many times... Unfortunately, my last move involved an ex boyfriend and the chair somehow ended up in *his* mums guest bedroom :-( I often wonder what happened to my dear Grandad's chair... I even contemplated tracking down the ex to find out... but figured that would be a step too far!!! Anyhoo, wishing you a wonderful weekend. It's my youngest (Martha...my eldest is Edie), birthday on Sunday (she's 2), so we'll be having a little birthday tea. Hoping your boy captains a victory. Lx

  4. My little girl used
    to have a wee chair
    just like your mini-
    version, except that
    it was a rocker : )
    It was given to a
    friend before our last
    move and has hopefully
    been a friend to other
    lucky girls, since!
    Happy weekend, sweet
    Melissa!

  7. Oh, Miss Melissa! You absolute sweetheart. I'm so very touched (oh, and we're now 3 under 5 but I really appreciate the setiment!). Your chairs are delightful and I love Miss Audrey's mini version. Hmm, something I might start hunting out for Miss India...I do hope winners were grinners in your house or at least that the play was fair. Back to PB! J x
