ok...these are not my roses...
from my garden...
but they are from our village grocer...
i love fridays, as you know, and today we are heading off through the countryside to Wales...
this means throwing things into upteen bags...
packing everything from my Hunter wellies to my birkenstocks & making room for Miss.Audrey's vast amount of soft toys that for some reason need a sea side break!
when is it ever about the mama girls?!
so...
to kick start my mini vacation i wandered early...& on my own...up to the village to buy some blooms for friday pretties...
beautiful big english roses...
wrapped in brown paper...
how heavenly are these...
they smell gorgeous & they look pretty good just dumped in my other milk crate...
the one i hadn't mentioned to you yet...oooh i am in serious love with this one!
so roses & new a *country living* mag in hand i had a wander & bought a coffee...
& came home to lovely kids not packing bags!
hence the blooms dumped in the milk crate & left for a while...
friday pretties...
dumped in an old dented metal milk crate...
making me smile as i shove stuff into suitcases & dolls bags & waterproof bags & beach baskets...
have a wonderful weekend
it's friday-yehar
do something you normally wouldn't
hang out with your kids
buy roses

ReplyDeleteTwo chippy metal milk crates in one week. And I just wonder what little treasures you may have found in Wales since then! But you're so right Melissa, one day back in Oz, you'll be surrounded by all your gathered treasures, and they will always be full of memories and pleasure. Keep gathering my friend! Hope you had a lovely weekend away. xx
