my first back in our little beach house...
surrounded by gumtrees & beaches...
if we were really having a *virtual coffee* together...
i'd sit you out on our back balcony to look at the palm trees with a pot of tea...
or if it was early evening when you popped past- a corona & lime...
i'd give you one of the big old vintage cane chair- we have two- one each...x
if you've ever shared a *virtual coffee* with me, whilst we were living in the English countryside-
{enjoy some English *virtual coffees* together here}, you'd know that usually you get the pink chair
in front of the fireplace...the one overlooking our roses & the front path...
back home, here in our beach house - you're always going to get the chippy, old, vintage cane chair
looking out over the back garden of gardenia's, frangipanni's & palm trees...
i promise you, it's a perfect spot to while away some friendship hours...
if we were really sharing a *virtual coffee* together...i'd ask you how the *flip* you've been as it
feels like waaay to long between a little time out together...
i'd have to ask you how the weather is where you are- as we left England a month ago & it was
snowing & now we are back to the tropical weather of an Australian summer...read hot & wet...
i'd ask if your kiddos are all still on holidays...
we *Down here* are still enjoying our 6 weeks summer/Christmas school holiday...
we've fit sooo much into this years summer break- not the least, the 12,000 mile flight across the
globe- back home to the beaches of Sydney...
so...tea & {lamingtons} in hand...i'll show you a few of the *moments* round our house today...
a *virtual coffee* in our loved little sandy floored beach house...
vases & shells...oars & bunting...
tongue & groove walls...sunlight...
chippy old tables...baskets...
& dark wooden floorboards...
striped beach towels & home made hand surfers...
wooden bowls of collected shells & sea glass...
if we were really sharing a *virtual coffee*- i'd ask you what you think of this new *coastal
country* thing i'm loving...
all this *beach* you see going on here- our life to date...is soon to sit alongside all our *country* that's
sailing it's way to Oz- *Coastal Country*...
we'll have to do a *virtual coffee* morning when it all arrives- the big crate full of vintage country
treasures found over the last four years from our English village...to our travels through Europe...
that's actually going to take a few coffee's...or at least a bottle glass of wine or two together...
let me know if you're in... :-)
*virtual coffee*
on the beaches at last
tea & lamingtons
vintage chippy cane chairs...
time out together at last...

ReplyDeleteGood morning Melissa!
ReplyDeleteVirtual coffee is one of my fav's, glad you are bringing it back,
gotta run now but had to say Hi!
Mxx
You are so speaking my language (except make mine a hot chocolate, or a sparkling wine, as I don't do coffee.) and I love, love,
ReplyDelete*Love* all of your pics and styling.
Hm, note to self must get new beach towels, as ours are looking a little shabby compared to yours ;)
Love the chippy paint, have tongue and groove walls on my list for our reno and as for sandy floors, yep, plenty of those in my bathroom atm!!
Put me down for a bunting when you get your shop up and running again.
Virtual coffee dates are a fab idea!
I'm in Melissa, can't wait...did you bring the pink chairs?? Love your vintage cane chair...love the blue and white tablecloth, love the distressed table with the basket underneath....and really love those dark floorboards!! Robx
ReplyDeletep.s. 4' and raining here...got a head cold...feeling miserable...and counting the days to Oz (we're leaving on the 2nd)!!
I'm in. Love what you did with the gum leaves and old man Banksia. The perfect decos for Australia Day.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one back in your homeland.
Carolyn xx
Count me in! I truly must organise myself to do this each week. It's always pure delight visiting with friends. Was down at Palmie this week with the Goofballs & thought of you. Tried to add to our shell collection, but compared to tours it's distinctly sub-par.
ReplyDeleteCant WAIT to share a virtual coffee with you!!!! Love that chippy table and am so jealous your in gorgeous Australia. Cant wait to see your next post. Thanks for following!
ReplyDeleteNow this "looking out over the back garden of gardenia's, frangipanni's & palm trees..." sounds about PERFECTO to me right now. I enjoyed this cup of tea chat with you.
ReplyDeleteSee you next week.
Alita
Thanks for the cuppa. I suppose we would have commented on how much our kids had grown over the holidays and how wonderful they look with a bit of color in the cheeks and salt in their hair. Have a fab day. Deb
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful images, I love your new/old home!!
ReplyDeleteIs it really a month already?! Time flies :)
I miss you lovely girl :) xxxx
I came for a virtual coffee yesterday but my phone wouldn't let me comment so I'm back for another cuppa this morning!
ReplyDeletex

ReplyDeletei'm definitely in for the bottle of wine when the crate arrives!!
ReplyDeletelet's get rid of the "virtual" though and I'll just come visit for real. i NEED a vacation (and a few bottles of wine) after this last month!

ReplyDeletegorgeous photos to brighten a dull-grey english day :)
Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by from Virtual Coffee to say hi! :)
Yep, I'm in like Flynn, Miss! J x
ReplyDeleteGardenias, frangipanis, palm trees, lamingtons, a chippy cane chair, did someone say oars, mention wine, chippy tables, dark wooden floors? Well I most certainly am in too, like Flynn as Jane says.
