*a friday flower...* across the atlantic...

it's *a friday flower* time...
a little moment in my week that i share with a special bloggy gal laura

i love fridays...as you all know...
&
today, here in the english countryside it is wild & wooly....
i have on my new lovely long brown boots...
my camel mac...
&
a hat!
yep...for this aussie gal it is now *hat weather*!

so...
with the wind & rain lashing down this morning, the kiddos all dropped off at school with *up-teen* loads of school goodies & raincoats & projects & musical instruments...
i decided to NOT venture into my garden to pick a lovely bunch of roses for *a friday flower*...
i decided instead to buy them at the little local fruit store...

lissies...
my wedding flower...
fresh, white, green & wonderfully curling...

& i would like to send these beautiful flowers to a lovely blogging friend suzanne...
suzanne lives all the way across the north atlantic ocean in the US of A...
but i feel like she's my neighbour...

i drop in everyday to hear her opinions on life...
her thoughts on anything & everything that catches her eye & her imagination...
she is witty, wise, generous in friendship & emotion....& just lovely...
if you need an excuse to while away a pot of tea reading...she's your new blog excuse...

she is also obsessed very enthusiastic about all things british, vintage & local...
so i have laid out two vintage cups of earl grey tea, from my lovely mix-matched stash of english china...
collected my two pints of beautiful british milk, delivered this morning from the local farm...
& plonked my lissies in an old british stamped milk bottle...
maybe i should tempt her over with an hand-made union jack cushion...

suzanne's post today is a thought provoking piece on china that i would encourage you to read....
so if don't already visit her daily like i do, make a cuppa, grab a glass of wine...& head over to
suzanne at *privet & holly*
& say hi from me...
& take up her pledge challenge for china...

remember if you want to join in with giving a virtual *friday flower*

  1. Your upbeat Christmas message mail made me smile and my partner then launched into the perfect xmas scenario and dared me not to be sold; so, together you got this 'scrooge' kinda beat! Like your flower idea...

  10. So pretty. I don't know that I've heard of a "lissie." Is that an Aussie nickname for a flower I might know. I don't recognize them in the picture either. Feeling very "dumb American" about now.
