look what i got given over the weekend...
oh my lord....how gorgeous is this pile of cotton lace!
i can hardly bare it!
of course it has started a whole wave of creation...
i am making a big ol'union jack flag from vintage bits for our up-&-coming royal wedding bbq garden party.....{what a mouthful i know!!}
& this is going to be the highlight of the creation!
i will be posting it on friday...err just to give myself a few more days to sew it up....
i have a poorly big girl at home this time...poor baby...so of course all plans have to be halved!
anyhoo....
let's just have one more lustful look at this beautiful pile in the sun on my pink chair...
any thoughts?
so...amongst the lace loving...
& the weekend horse riding....football {read soccer if you're a down under bloggy friend}...& boot sale hunting...
i pulled a name outa the tin...
it wasn't the old english milking bucket i'd hoped to stumble upon at the boot sale...
but it was a little old enamel mug we usually keep window sill *bunches of flowers* in...
so...the lovely marcia from *blessed mom's simple home*
you got yourself a tote to lug home flowers & bottles of good wine for saturday lunches...
& a few other little *miss sew & so* goodies thrown in to say thanks....
to be honest- i can hardly bare to not include everyone that reads my blog!
but marcia is just such a generous soul that i am very glad to have *plucked* her from the enamel mug!
there will be more spring giveaways i promise...
&
i am on the etsy trail...
your comments were just so lovely & encouraging...
& god know how much i love to shop at etsy....;)
& remember any inspiration for piles of gorgeous white lace loveliness...
send it through...
i'm thinking cushions...more totes...
remember to pop back friday to see the union jack lace loving flag...
it is heaven if i may say so myself...
maybe i could throw those in the etsy pot too...
what d'ya think??
thanks all...
i'm going to make a pot of tea
&
reply to you lovelies....
happy monday!

Dearest Melissa, I am feeling so, so terrible, I have missed your last couple of posts, and even your very, very gorgeous giveaway.. Actually, I have been missing a lot of lovely posts of all my favourite girls the past few weeks unfortunately as I have been so busy and finding it hard to juggle everything.. I really cant wait to see your union jack for the royal wedding!! And you should definently do the etsy thing; I think its a truly fantastic marketplace/invention of the 21st century!!! Love your tulips and milkbottles!! In fact, one of my most favourite memories of life in the uk was being all tucked up in my bed on a dark, cold winters morning and hearing the milkboys delivering to our door, the crunch. crunch of his feet through the snow! and the clink. clink. of the bottles!..... takes me back!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and love,
Laura xx

ReplyDeleteHi Melissa!
ReplyDeleteThe sun is out and bright shining here! Spring is here, woohoo!
Soooo, like I thought no winning for moi, but that's ok, because here is my first order for your not yet to be etsy store: the photo (nr.6) with the naturals and lace, two pillows please and a tote for the beach like the lucky winner has, and well, a jack flag here is not totally swiss (maybe a swiss one in the make??) Anyway, you get it, I would like to buy some hand made with love Melissa originals!
and sending some virtual big hugs for Ella, hope she is feeling better soon, hugs from my house to yours!
(oh, and now I get it...the wedding bbq you where talking about last time is the royal one...duh Maureen....I know, England is in the wedding mood, I get it).
