tuesday travels through a french window...

there is something about a french window that just makes me smile...
i love the shutters...the chippy paint...the linen curtains...

simple & inviting...
worn & loved...

these are the windows we lived alongside in our little french village in brittany...
oh it was hard to stop...
to stop staring longingly...
photographing constantly...
pulling off & throwing all of them in the back of the people mover...

...just some tuesday travelling for you...
...enjoy...

  1. I DID enjoy....
    Thank you!
    Some things you
    just can't throw
    in your suitcase ~
    But we bring them
    home with us, just
    the same. Lucky you
    to be talented
    enough to take these
    gorgeous photos!

  9. Oh I can so understand an obsession with these beautiful windows. Especially that half open one with the greenery growing up and around. Gorgeous photos Melissa. xx

  10. Those pix are gorgeous! I have a window and door fetish. I am on the constant prowl for the perfect door. I would love to photograph some of BSD's surfboards in those locations. I've been trying to find local spots that look weathered and worn to take some shots but I haven't come up with anything like that. *sigh*

  12. Looking through your window can make you feel nostalgic and reminisce the old days. It can even bring you to some place without making a single step. Anyway, I like the pics. The French windows have always been dignified, and have classic ways to bring a strong sense of style to an entire room.

  13. Aw, this was a really nice post. Taking a few
minutes and actual effort to make a great article… but what
can I say… I hesitate a whole lot and never seem to get anything done.
